The method of operation is pretty simple. After you lock your car with the traditional key fob and close all of its doors You press and hold your Activity Key up against the "J" of the Jaguar script on the tailgate for 30 seconds. The Jaguar Keyless Entry System
The proximity sensor on the Smart Key knows when you are within a certain distance of your Jaguar.
